The Travel Abroad Program gives students the chance to explore culture through real world international experiences. Through faculty鈥慻uided instruction, cross鈥慶ultural research, and service learning, students build academic skills while immersing themselves in new cultures. Scholarship opportunities such as the Gilman and Fulbright programs are also available to support travel for (up to) a semester abroad.  Any current 黑料社 student in good academic standing can apply. Internship Opportunities

  • at Texas Southern University  - June 1 - July 2, 2026. 
  • . This is a paid internship for students located in the Monroe and surrounding area. Course credits available. Must submit to a drug screen and background check. 
  • Louisiana Child Welfare Training Academy and 黑料社 School of Social Work Internship. Students graduating in Spring 2027. The program will start Fall 2026. Students can receive a paid stipend up to $10K and receive course credits. Email Professor Wilkerson-Carr (carrp@gram.edu) for more information.
  • . Program provides housing, meals, and course credits. 5 week option (July 26- August 29), 6 week option (June 20-August 2) OR 9 week option (June 20 -August 21); Some positions may require additional training in early June. 
  • offer a flexible virtual volunteer opportunity where small teams of college students are matched with an older adult for weekly video visits. Students typically volunteer about one hour per week, choose times that fit their schedules, receive training and support, and commit for at least 16 weeks to build meaningful connections.
